Ok i don't see an Intro thread. But Hi My name is Gil. I'm currently working in Iraq, and when I started I was slotted to go Barstow, CA.. but looks like in the last year and half my plans have changed. So I will be going to Ft. Lewis and be living in Olympia. I lived there in 90's so I still got friends there but they build muscle cars so I need to find people that will not be confused by my truck to hang out with. I'm sure I know some of you from the dezert racing forums.

So this is my junk.. It's being worked on by BTF fab in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.. I fly in the end of Aug. take it out tuning. I hoping to hit the Ivan Stewart auction and Dezert People 8 showing, and then I get to drive up to Oly. So yeah enough of that time for pictures.

Before the build

the build

man I can't wait to get home and see it..

Hi Gil, A big welcome to the board.
Are you in the military or working for the USG? Any way, thank you for the support and help that you do with it.
The pix you pasted, I could not "click a link" if that is what you intended to have.
I am only about an hour and a half from were you will be, and there is a hand full of other's closer that chime in.
Have a safe trip North.

Mike

The [img] tag is not part of this forum code...

To properly place an image in your post, I suggest you just use the "Rich Text Editor". This gives you the "image icon" that you can click on which in turn asks you where the image is located (photobucket, etc.)

Step One: Click on the "Use Rich Text Editor"

Step Two: To place an image in your post, click on the "INSERT IMAGE ICON"

Step Three: Popup box will open where you can place the URL (location) of your image (Photobucket, etc. etc.)

Click on Insert on the box shown above after you placed the image URL path in.

Make sense?

I made a new forum thread "sticky" at the top of the "Desert Racing - General Discussion" Section explaining this also.

I also went through and fixed your thread so the images work.

Nice build.Thats a V-6 frontier right? I assume there ditching the torsion bars up front and stock A-arms for longer stouter ones and coilovers.I pit crew for 1242 vest racing Pro-truck out of Portland Ore. vicinity. Were hoping a certain guy (hush hush) gets most of the Pro-truck Franchise stuff.Needs new blood in the class. There are plans for truck upgrades to make them more modern and faster.keep the pics coming. be safe over there.

the 05+ Frontiers don't have torsion bars, and I'm going about 6 inch over stock, I'm looking at 15 inch up front my biggest limit will be the fact I'm keeping 4wd. The VQ40 is 265HP stock I I'm planning on putting a cam and some other goodies on it and tuning it I should be able to put 300+ to the crank. Yeah Pro-truck is strange I don't know why any one would spend that much to race that class when you can put together a good 1450/1400 truck for a lot less.

 Rear Sway bar/Mez Arm Mount

Brandon and Travis.. They are brother that is how they get the B and T in BTF.. Brandon works full time and Travis works part time at BTF and at SOLO.
